Dear Tom and Melissa,

We thought you would want to know that we all arrived safe in Virginia this morning.  After a thorough acclimation to water temperatures and Ph we settled down for a quiet and dark nap till this evening.  We had a nice meal and we all ate.  The people here keep saying that we are so big... we hear there are more Mbunas here but we haven't met them yet, maybe they are smaller that us! 

Anyway, we know we are really going to like it here and we are happy...  just wanted you to know.

I did receive your voice mail message. The kids did a great job of acclimating the cichlids last night and the fish are doing well. Thank you again for all the time you spent with all of us. Your passion for the business and your knowledge really shines through. In this day of mega pet stores it sure is nice to see a home based business with a personal touch. You have exceeded my expectations.  My son is excited to be moving up to Cichlids and this new hobby. I am giving him your contact information as I'm sure he will have additional questions along the way. On the way home last night he sent a text to one of his friends that has cichlids telling him all about our visit to Serious Cichlids.

I'm sure we'll continue to say in touch. Maybe we'll see you at the upcoming GCCA swap meet here in Naperville.

Thanks Melissa for your candid reply to my question.  I really appreaciate it.  Its great to know I have Serious Cichlids as a resource in the Chicagoland area as you know your fish.

Your right, I'll need to see what you have and what would best suit my "set up."

Let me call ahead sometime in Feb. and I can schedule a time to comedown.  I'm in Naperville--which would be pretty much a straight shotdown 355, I think.

Melissa: 

The fish arrived this morning 10:40 my time. All came thrufine. They are soaking now and look very good. They show no signs of stress or of being cold. The warm packs were still warm. The insulation was a good idea. I am very pleased with all of them. Now I have to get them aclimated and introduced in my tank with my present peacocks. I have put in several plastic plants along with the rocks and wood I have. Tomorrow I will do a 25% water change and move things around. I would do it today but I don't want to add to their stress. I will keep the lights off the rest of today.

Thank you for your patience and help in shipping them.  I look forward to ordering again and highly recommend your service to any cichlid lover. I am thrilled with the quality, size and cost of the specimens I received.

Depending on how this shipment comes through I will be looking for acouple of OB's peacocks (blueberry), red peacock, dragon blood albino,albino and benga yellow.

Got the fish, the water was a little cold because of the weather.  But the fish were well packed, packaged, and clearly marked as to what was in the box.  Thank you again for the extra Yellow labs, my daughter is excited to set up a her own tank.  The one german red male is beautiful. Fish are fine, Lab fry have almost doubled in size, and from the actions of the dominate male GR peacock, he will be a proud Papa soon.  The only other fish in the tank are 4 "zebra obliqidens", one male and 3 females, he has already shown the male obliqeden that a new sheriff was in town.  Will definitely check the web site often, and order from you again.

Thanks for your honesty; it is hard to find people that actually want to help you... I just stopped by yesterday @ the fish store nearby, ready to buy discus and after speaking to a couple of guys..... one ofthem just wanted to sell them without any recommendation and the other one simply told me to wait.  Honesty is what I really like and respect, and that is what you have given me.  Thank you Serious Cichlids!

I am amazed at the range of knowledge that Serious Cichlids possesses. I never thought anyone could help me with our cichlids. I had purchased cichlids from other stores, and once they got into my tank, they seemed to take over and kill my other cichlids, or die!  It seemed like all the stores that I went to were not fully trained on the aquariumlife.  But Serious Cichlids really knows their stuff, their approach is far reaching and my aquarium is now full of tons of cichlids, all healthy and in their most beautiful color dress!  I couldn't be more happier than I am from the help I got from you guys!  Serious Cichlids,  Thank you so much!

Thank you for getting me that name of the fish.  Yes, all of the fish are doing very well. They are very active and eating like pigs. Thank you very much for allowing my Mom, Step dad, little sister, and myself into your fishroom. Every fish I saw was very impressive.   Iam kicking myself for not buying some of the Sunshine Peacocks from you. So I will have to make another trip before they are gone.

We are so glad that we were able to find a company that we could purchase our rare cichlids from that are delivered with such great care!  It was almost immediately that we placed our new additions to our aquarium that they were swimming around and enjoying their environment.  Not once have they hid in fear of being in a new territory!  Thank you for taking such great care of the cichlids before selling them!
